Meteorological dataset of Ngari Desert Observation and Research Station (2009-2014)

The dataset records the meteorological data at Ngari Desert Observation and Research Station from 2009 to 2014. Meteorological data includes following basic meteorological parameter: temperature at the 1.5m above the ground (observed at half an hour interval), relative humidity at 1.5m above the ground (observed at half an hour interval), wind speed (observed at half an hour interval), wind direction (observed at half an hour interval), atmospheric pressure (observed at half an hour interval), precipitation (observed at 24 hours interval).

The data were downloaded directly from AWS installed in Ngari Desert Observation and Research Station

If the data are experimental, observational or investigation data, please indicate the basic information of related measuring instruments, equipments, methods and process et al.Precipitation were daily data measuring by automatic rain gauge which corrected by manual observation, others are all raw data observed at half an hour interval.

The data table were typed manually according to the data notebook.

The data were observed and collected strictly following the operation specifications of the instruments.In processing and producing data sheet, some data with obvious errors were removed.

The dataset can be applied in Meteorological and Environmental research
